Two Belmont wins in four days for Team Wolfe

Jun 19, 2019

Great result for our little $5000 purchase One Point Lady when running on from near last in running to claim the Pink Ladies Luncheon Handicap (Race 4-1650m) at Belmont today.

The Demerit three-year-old filly relished stepping up to the mile and aided by a patient, well-timed ride from Peter Knuckey (replacing an unwell Shaun McGruddy), hit the line hard for a clear-cut victory.

One Point Lady showed significant potential as a two-year-old, recording multiple Ascot placings, and has enjoyed a strong 2019 campaign so far when winning four of her last nine starts, taking her total earnings to $78,555.

The way she's racing suggests she will handle even longer distances and at this stage, the stable is considering having a crack at the listed $100,000 Belmont Oaks over 2000 metres at Belmont on Saturday July 6.
