It was a great result for perseverance with Ginger Green victorious in the TABtouch Westspeed Platinum Handicap (1600m) at Ascot yesterday.
The Gingerbread Man four-year-old was just about retired in early 2021, but with some patience, maturity and the healing powers of the Albany beaches, he’s managed to win three races in his eight-start comeback campaign.
Big thanks to all our stable staff that have helped him along the way. Also, it was fantastic to welcome our man Shaun McGruddy back to the saddle producing a pearler in his first race ride in over a month.
